What your assistant can do, and what it can’t.

A connected assistant works as you, in the workspaces you belong to. This page lists everything it can call, grouped the way the server groups it, and the things it never does. Jump to what it never does, or connect an assistant to try it.

What it can do.

Open a group to see its tools. Each tool shows up in your assistant under the name shown here. A few names still say client; they mean your sponsor. 147 tools in 12 groups.

What it never does.

These stay with a person on your team. Each one reaches your sponsor, handles money, access, or a secret, or speaks for your company.
Sending anything to your sponsor
Asks, replies, sponsor updates, and weekly digests reach your sponsor only when a person on your team sends them, apart from the automatic sends an admin turned on. Turning a project’s weekly digest on is something an assistant can do, so where an admin has turned on automatic digests, that project’s digest then sends by itself unless someone skips it. An assistant can prepare each one, and it can skip a draft so nobody sends it.
Making work visible to your sponsor
Everything an assistant creates, outcomes, deliverables, activities, and the proof it attaches included, is internal until a person shares it. Accepting a deliverable counts that proof, so your sponsor can see a deliverable as accepted with nothing to open until a person shares the proof. An assistant can’t make team-only work visible to your sponsor, or open a team-only blocker to them. It can preview what your sponsor sees right now.
Nudges and escalation
A nudge or an escalation emails your sponsor. An assistant can move an ask’s needed-by date, after you confirm when your sponsor already sees the ask. That emails nobody, and it never contacts the people you are waiting on.
Delivering a final deliverable
Delivering a final deliverable emails your sponsor the finished work. An assistant can attach the file or link as the final deliverable, and a person delivers it.
Turning automations on
Automations send to your sponsor without a tap, so only a workspace admin turns one on or changes its timing. An assistant can see what is on, hold a draft, and pause an automation, which only reduces what goes out.
Billing
Plans, seats, and payment details belong to the people who pay for the workspace, and an assistant has no tool for them.
Teammates and roles
Who joins the workspace and what role they hold decides who can see everything else, so a person changes it in Settings.
Brand on the sponsor’s page
The logo and colors on your sponsor’s page speak for your company, so a person sets them.
Retention and deleting projects or data
Retention settings, and deleting a project or the workspace’s data, can’t be undone, so a person does them. An assistant can archive and restore projects. After you confirm, it can also permanently remove a piece of evidence or a saved template, or delete a space, whose projects move up.
Exports
A person starts a workspace data export from Settings. An assistant has no tool for it, though it can read your projects through the tools you connected it to.
Connector credentials
Connecting Jira, GitHub, or another tool signs in with an admin’s own account at that tool. A person does that, and an assistant never handles anyone else’s credentials.
Chat channels
A chat channel’s webhook is a secret, and it posts to people outside the project. A person adds, tests, and removes channels.
