What it reads

How it stays current
Jira tells Unblockd as soon as something changes. Unblockd then reads that item again through Jira’s API, so a change only counts once Jira confirms it.
How you connect
An admin signs in to Jira once for the whole workspace and approves read access. Unblockd reads your work in Jira and leaves it as it is; the one thing it adds is the webhook that tells it about changes. The access token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it’s stored.
What your sponsor sees
Your sponsor sees each deliverable’s progress. The tasks you bring in, and any blocker they flag, stay with your team until someone chooses to share them.

- Plan in Jira, report from UnblockdLink the Jira project for a project and bring its items in under the deliverables they serve, up to 50 at a time. Each task keeps a link back to Jira, and its status follows Jira from then on.
- Stuck work becomes an askIn Jira, a blocked issue flags a blocker. Unblockd opens it for your team only and alerts your team’s chat channels if you’ve connected any. Someone confirms it and turns it into an ask for the sponsor: a decision with options, or a request for help.
- Acceptance stays with your teamA task marked done in Jira finishes here too, unless it still needs a sign-off. The deliverable itself is accepted only once its evidence is attached, and your sponsor is emailed only when a person on your team accepts it.
- New items arrive on their own, if you wantAn admin can turn on automatic import, so new open items in a linked project arrive as tasks under the deliverable chosen for it, up to 25 per sync.
