Connect Microsoft Planner to Unblockd.

Bring your Microsoft Planner work in as tasks under the deliverable it belongs to. Status follows Microsoft Planner, and stuck work flags a blocker for your team.

What it reads

Link the Microsoft Planner plans each Unblockd project needs. You pick which items to bring in, up to 50 at a time, and each one becomes a task under a deliverable with a link back to Microsoft Planner.

In Microsoft Planner

Tasks from basic plans; a Blocked bucket flags a blocker.

How it stays current

Unblockd reads your linked plans again when someone opens a project’s Sources tab and the last read is more than 10 minutes old, whenever you press Sync now, and once a day.

How you connect

An admin signs in to Microsoft Planner once for the whole workspace and approves read access. Unblockd reads your work in Microsoft Planner and leaves it as it is. The access token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it’s stored.

What your sponsor sees

Your sponsor sees each deliverable’s progress. The tasks you bring in, and any blocker they flag, stay with your team until someone chooses to share them.

How teams use it

What happens to Microsoft Planner work once it’s connected, from the first link to your sponsor’s page.

  1. Plan in Microsoft Planner, report from UnblockdLink the Microsoft Planner plan for a project and bring its items in under the deliverables they serve, up to 50 at a time. Each task keeps a link back to Microsoft Planner, and its status follows Microsoft Planner from then on.
  2. Stuck work becomes an askIn Microsoft Planner, a Blocked bucket flags a blocker. Unblockd opens it for your team only and alerts your team’s chat channels if you’ve connected any. Someone confirms it and turns it into an ask for the sponsor: a decision with options, or a request for help.
  3. Acceptance stays with your teamA task marked done in Microsoft Planner finishes here too, unless it still needs a sign-off. The deliverable itself is accepted only once its evidence is attached, and your sponsor is emailed only when a person on your team accepts it.
  4. New items arrive on their own, if you wantAn admin can turn on automatic import, so new open items in a linked plan arrive as tasks under the deliverable chosen for it, up to 25 per sync.
